Simply fill out one of the forms or give us a call on our home page. If you fill out a form a member of our team will reach out to schedule a 10-20 minute consultation. Once the consult is complete we will schedule a site visit to get pictures and measurements. After which we will work on our estimate and it will be sent over via email and text.
On small projects and fences & decks it usually takes 1-2 weeks from first contact to when we can provide an estimate. For larger projects such as new construction, renovations & remodels and additions & ADU's it typically takes 3-4 weeks from first contact to when we can provide an estimate.
Generally the answer is no, but it all depends on the scope of work and if an architect, structural engineer or site survey is needed. On small projects or fences & decks the answer is no, it does not cost any money to get a quote on your project. On renovations & remodels there is a chance an architect, structural engineer and or site survey is needed, depending on the scope of the work. On new construction or additions & ADU's you will certainty need an architect and most likely a site survey.
A time and material quote is a rough estimate not a contract price (fixed price) bid. The quote shows our labor rate and markup on materials/subs. It also shows the expected labor hours and costs for materials/subs. All T&M quotes are subject to actual labor hours (including travel time) and actual costs for materials/subs plus our markup. This is done on projects with unknowns such as small projects, rot repair, decks etc as this is the best way to keep costs down for both parties. If this is the case with your project it will be made explicitly clear.
A contract price quote is a fixed price quote. This means the price will not change unless the scope of work changes, ie you request a change to the agreed upon scope of work. Since contract price quotes typically take 10-40+ hours to complete they are only done on larger projects such as new construction or additions & ADU's as we wrap the costs of that time in with our initial design fee. If your project is bid as a contract price quote this will be made explicitly clear to you.
